My work, my painting… does not follow the path set by gentle beauty, by sweet and delicate beauty. It does not gaze longingly at the world through a window, nor does it contemplate that world with resignation. It does not seek to rescue memories, nor is it a passive observer of serene, everyday scenes—or even those that are not so everyday...
My painting follows the path dictated by a wounded and marked human being, one capable of rebelling without hesitation—whether consciously or unconsciously.
