I\u2019m drawn to its solidity. I work with various types\u2014birch, okoum\u00e9, OSB... I like wood to be part of the range of textures I create. Sometimes I incorporate collage, sometimes image transfers, and occasionally a combination of both, but always as a subtle complement to the pictorial aspect itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am especially interested in compositions where the human being is the central figure. For this reason, I tend to avoid urban and natural landscapes when the human presence is absent. I prefer to tell stories\u2014even when landscapes tell them on their own, without a living presence.
